Q: What’s unique about the service provided by Home Care Assistance?
A: Home Care Assistance specializes in 24/7 live-in care, with a caregiver providing uninterrupted assistance and companionship around the clock.

Our proprietary, PhD-developed training system for caregivers arms them with proven techniques for improving and prolonging seniors’ quality of life.

Our rigorous caregiver selection process includes an exclusive psychologist-generated test that measures honesty and conscientiousness.

Our emphasis on providing long-term care from a consistent caregiver ensures quality in care and maintains familiarity and emotional stability.

Q: What is the difference between live-in care, 24/7 care and hourly care?
A: With our live-in care service, a caregiver comes and stays around the clock, ready to assist with all activities of daily living.

Live-in does not mean move-in. Home Care Assistance caregivers only bring a small bag for their daily needs. All they require is a quiet place in the home where they can receive uninterrupted rest in the evenings. This ensures that our caregivers are fully rested and alert the following day.

24/7 care provides service for those seniors who require close supervision at all times and is billed hourly. This is often used in conjunction with live-in care.

Hourly care is also available for four or more consecutive hours at a time or longer.

Q: How do the costs compare between live-in and hourly service?
A: Our hourly billing is always at a fixed hourly rate, no matter the time of day or day of the week (some limited exceptions apply). Hourly care is available for a minimum of four consecutive hours.

Live-in service can be provided for as little as 1 day a week. Our flat rate and no hidden fee policies make Home Care Assistance easy to budget—without surprises.

Q: Do you have a service contract I have to sign?
A: There’s no service contract with Home Care Assistance. That means you can use our services for only as long as you need and with 100% satisfaction. Start enjoying worry-free senior care now!

Q: How does Home Care Assistance screen and hire caregivers?
A: Home Care Assistance interviews 25 caregivers for every one that we hire. We start by requiring a minimum of two years of verifiable experience with excellent references.

Furthermore, we conduct thorough background checks—including local and national criminal records, driving record checks and verify eligibility for employment.

Home Care Assistance caregivers are fully bonded, insured, licensed where required and covered by workers compensation insurance.

Q: Why is Home Care Assistance good for seniors?
A: Our experienced caregivers offer seniors safety, companionship, emotional support and make sure they receive proper nutrition, the correct medication and more.

Home Care Assistance caregivers are highly skilled and specially trained in emotional support, nutritional guidance, fall prevention, brain-sharpening activities and even exercises. We do our best to place a caregiver with a client for the long term, ensuring care consistency.

Q: Why is Home Care Assistance good for seniors’ family members?
A: Home Care Assistance brings the peace of mind because your parent or family member is being cared for by the very best, most reliable caregivers. On call to serve you 24/7, we eliminate the effort and worry of finding, screening, paying and managing a caregiver.

If your caregiver ever runs late or becomes ill or is unable to keep the scheduled visit, we will find a qualified substitute caregiver. Home Care Assistance reduces stress and depression for the whole family. Plus, our caregiving allows family members to enjoy quality time with their loved ones, instead of focusing on stressful daily needs.

Q: What does it mean when you say lifestyle care?
A: By remaining in their homes, seniors are able to maintain the lifestyle they have been accustomed to enjoying throughout their life. Keeping all their possessions and familiar surroundings, home care clients are able to visit the same stores, restaurants, neighbors and parks they already know.

Q: What makes Home Care Assistance caregivers the best-trained caregivers?
A: We start by attracting and hiring the best, most experienced caregivers in the area. We screen them with the best tests anywhere. But we don’t leave it at that. Home Care Assistance has developed exclusive training programs to provide nutrition and longevity-promoting techniques. We even have a monthly newsletter that keeps all of our caregivers up-to-date on the latest insights in the home care industry.

Q: How do you supervise caregivers?
A:
Before beginning care, we create a schedule and a plan that covers all aspects of the appropriate care and go over them with the caregiver. A Care Manager at Home Care Assistance makes regular visits to ensure that all care is adequate and we can make changes as needed.

Q: Home Care Assistance caregivers are great. Do you put them in places besides seniors’ homes?
A: Yes. We can visit seniors anywhere they need care. During hospital stays, our hospital sitters can provide round-the-clock companionship and monitoring for safety.

Many residents of facilities also hire Home care Assistance caregivers to provide the personal one-to-one attention they deserve.

We can even accompany seniors on vacations, enabling them to travel in safety and freedom.
